Memphis Theological Seminary Ceremony in Honor of Dr. Netters
The Ceremony begins at 6:30 pm in the Main Sancuary.
The Memphis Theological Seminary and a group of African American pastors in the Memphis Community are honoring Dr. James L. Netters by naming a professorship and faculty chair in his honor.
The MTS faculty member to carry the name as the Netters Professor of Theological Studies is Dr. Aliou Niang. Dr. Niang is a native of Senegal, West Africa, holds a Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament Biblical Interpretation (with distinction) from Brite Divinity School of Texas Christian University. He is a specialist in post colonial interpretation of Paul's writings, and has distinguished himself as a first rank teacher who is devoted to both the academy and local church. |
